Catheter Selection

There are a number of different potential routes for catheterisation as well as a wide range of products to choose from. The decision around the route for catheterisation should be informed by quality of life considerations. Any health professional performing catheterisation should also be able to select an appropriate product to meet their patients' needs. They must also be authorised and deemed as competent to do so by their employer.
